IDoc Type: ARTMAS

Error: Base unit of measure cannot be changed since EAN already assigned

Description: 

While creating an article with an message type in IDoc as ARTMAS will receive an above error.

An international article number is tied with material number in basic data view with EAN Category.

If you still want to change UOM you need to first remove the EAN assigned in MM42.

Also, we can change the base units of measure only under the following criteria

1. No stocks should be available for the material.

2. There should not be any existing purchase requisitions, purchase orders or scheduling agreements for that material.
